To ensure every family has access to a laptop/computer and the internet to access homelearning during school closures.

by St. Mary's Primary School, Lewisham in London, England, United Kingdom

School closure #2.

Home learning steps up a gear and every year group has some form of online learning and class teaching. However not every family has access to a device or even the internet at home. This means those children are unable to join the live teaching classes or access online learning. Those very children will fall further behind in their learning as a result. They tend to be children who are already at a disadvantage due to many factors beyond their control such as living in poor housing conditions or having parents out of work.

The school would like to ensure every family can access the internet and a device.

The government have provided 29 laptops. We have 240 pupils in the school.

We need your help to assist those families who are really in need. Please help in whatever way you can. Thank you!
