As part of our Founders Day celebrations this year, we have decided to set a virtual challenge for the Perry Wood family! We cannot all be together so to keep up our active minutes and to bring us together to achieve a combined target, this sporty challenge has been set by Mr Cooper-Ash:
Children: to complete 1000 star jumps on Founders Day (Friday 12th February)
The school community: to complete a combined 100,000 star jumps on Founders Day (Friday 12th February)
We are asking for donations which will count as sponsorship for this event.
All money raised will go towards enriching the lives of local children in Worcester. 50% of the funds raised will be donated to a local children's charity and the remaining 50% of funds will go towards the Griffin School Trust Sports and Arts Fund.
The Griffin School Trust Sports and Arts Fund is used to provide children at Perry Wood with fantastic opportunities to pursue their interests in drama, music, sports and art. In the past, children have received the following items from this fund: football boots, violins, guitars, gymnastics balance bars, gymnastic and dance leotards, swimming costumes, dance shoes, rock climbing gloves and harness, swimming goggles and folders and files to organise drama club scripts (these are just a few).
We cannot wait to raise as much money as possible to continue to enrich the lives of our children! Please donate and sponsor the Perry Wood family in their active challenge this Friday!
