Luddenham School benefits from a beautiful country setting in the the heart of Kent's rolling fields. Our school has a lovely welcoming atmosphere and an enthusiastic teaching staff who love nothing more than to get the children engaged and excited about their learning experience.
The draw back to our wonderful location is the limitations a rural setting has on the technological infrastructure. After 14 years of campaigning the school finally received a connection to Fibre Optic Broadband in the first week of November 2020.
The staff, children and parents/carers of the school are so excited by this giant leap forward we are desperate to maximise on the learning capabilities that open up with this new facility.
Our aim is to raise funds to purchase tablets for each classroom to allow the children to benefit from online apps supporting maths and reading, as well as the innumerable research opportunities the internet provides on a day to day basis in support of their current topics.
The children are excited to get involved in the fundraising and are undertaking to gain sponsorship for completing as many laps of the school field as they can. With so many limitations on their Christmas activities this year we have decided to turn this in to a Santa Dash. The children will have the opportunity to wear their Christmas jumpers to school and will be provided with a Santa hat to get the Christmas spirit started.
